Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The global recognition of his music has helped his rise into the mainstream of Latin music. In 2017, his 2016 hit Una Lady Como Tu won the Colombian Kids Choice Award Favorite Song. In Medellin, Sony distributed La Industria Inc. and also released ADN as his debut full-length album. The album peaked at the top of the charts, number 8 on the Top Latin Albums chart. Vaina Loca was a Top Five hit for Ozuna and for him in the following year. Mala Influencia was made available in 2020 by Noriel and his Dopamina album that year. In 2021, he appeared as a duo TINI for her hit online song Maldita Foto. 2000 also saw the huge song La Bachata appeared in 2023. Turizo was raised in a musical environment, because both his mother and his older brother are musicians. In interviews, he has stated that music is compulsory. The first choice for his career was to be a vet however, his brother Julian encouraged him to learn to sing with the help of a Cuban instructor.
