Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, one of the daughters of musicians born in Mexico, was born to the music-loving parents of her family. As a child, she was exposed to many classical music as well as the old Boleros. In addition, she was a fan of classic romantic ballads, as well as traditional ranchero. Ana loves tangos, opera, and any form of dramatic performance. Ana began learning to sing as well as play musical instruments in the early years together with her mom. The formal singing instruction when she was 16 years old under the famous Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. It was at the School of Music of Guadalajara University and the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico continue to provide her with music instruction. When she was a student, and a young professional, she performed in various chamber groups as well as opera choruses from Guadalajara and Mexico City. The year 2000 saw her move into America. United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Later, in 2007, she re-located to her home in southern California. The singer currently sings the traditional Latin American songs at private performances as a soloist. She's involved in numerous local activities, both an instructor and performer due to her passion for the arts and music. Ana was also a member of the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is currently a teacher in the Performance Loft. Ana is hoping that, through the sharing her love of Latin American traditional songs, that she can inspire a passion, particularly in the younger generations, for keeping this music vibrant.
